Latest Vaccines Update for COVID-19 and the Flu Season 2020-21
The DSHS ASN Program was developed to ensure that uninsured adults (> 19 yr olds), have access to recommended vaccinations. Texas has a significant number of adults who have not received the recommended vaccines and are at increased risk of contracting vaccine-preventable diseases. The ASN Program helps to address this issue by providing uninsured adults at no cost to enrolled providers. The ASN program has received increased funding from CDC to be able to include free flu vaccines to adults that are uninsured and under-insured.

Furthermore, once the COVID-19 becomes available, the ASN will provide a channel to access the new vaccine directly to the health center sites enrolled in the ASN.

This webinar will provide an overview and update on the COVID-19 vaccine and provide support and guidance to prepare for the 2020-21 Flu Season, as well as a quick overview on enrollment opportunities and processes. We will also provide information on the new multiplex assay, which tests for the Flu and COVID-19, which will become critical to be able to do in an efficient manner this flu season.
